Copy a module with all baseline data

Hi everyone, I'm trying to copy a module that has been baselined multiple times to a new folder. I've noticed that when I use clipCopy() and clipPaste() or just do a copy and paste from the DOORS folder explorer all baselines are deleted. From the recently copied module, when I try to create a new baseline, the default major and minor numbers default to the last baseline that was created in the original copy. Doing a getMostRecentBaseline(current Module, false) says there are no baselines in the newly copied module, while a getMostRecentBaseline(current Module, true) returns the last baseline created in original module. This seems to confirm that a module copy and paste deletes the baseline for some reason.

Is there anyway to prevent this? I am using DOORS 8.1 btw. Also I'm not sure if this is relevant, but I don't have administrative rights to delete baselines in my DOORS environment.

Thanks for the help.

Look at archive and restore.

Thanks for the reply, but I don't have that kind of admin access. I believe that would work though. Basically the script would allow the user to select a source and target directory containing modules that have some baselines to them. Since multiple users are using this script they aren't going to get the rights to archive and restore. Hence the issue.

It turns out that wasn't that a big deal because the users are going to care about the old baseline data, just making changes to the new one.

I just find it strange why a module copy would strip the baseline data like that.
